Super Bowl 52 national anthem video: Watch Pink sing ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’

Before Super Bowl 52’s kickoff between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots, pop singer Pink performed the national anthem.

The rating is down 3 percent from last year’s game, which drew a 48.8 overnight rating and ended up with an average of 111.3 million viewers for FOX. The final rating was 45.3 in a game that featured the Patriots making a historic comeback over the Atlanta Falcons.

We know he’s capable of huge nights as a shot-blocker and just about the only fault in his game is his lack of assists, an area where Harden will always have a distinct advantage. If Davis can stay healthy, and that’s always a big question, he has a chance to leapfrog Harden on a Pelicans team that needs him to score and rebound even more in the absence of DeMarcus Cousins.

Jim McCormick: I’ll take The Brow over The Beard. Since DeMarcus Cousins was injured in late January against Harden’s Rockets, Davis leads the NBA with 23.2 shots per game and is the centerpiece of New Orleans’ offense.

Ottawa made it 4-2 midway through the third as Borowiecki, with his third of the season, had a wide-open net after catching Domingue out of position. The goal was initially waved off due to goaltender interference, but the Senators challenged and upon review it was ruled a good goal.

Jeffery told reporters during the week leading up to the Super Bowl that the team doesn’t practice the dances ahead of time.

We just come up with stuff from what we see in movies and other things, our experiences from life, he said, via Keith Groller of The Morning Call. The first thing we said we’d do off a big run was the bowling ball. Then with a big pass play, we were going to do a home run. We just started to roll with it.

The storyline is, they outworked us and they showed us they wanted it more tonight, said forward Justin Williams, an alternate captain with Staal out. That’s frustrating, because we’ve got to be better, and certainly I’m at the top of that list.

Thunder’s Russell Westbrook dunks on DeMarcus Cousins’ soul

On a night in which Pelicans big man DeMarcus Cousins earned his 18th technical foul of the season (and an automatic suspension), Russell Westbrook added insult to injury.

Late in the fourth quarter, the Thunder guard dunked so hard on “Boogie,” future Boogies will feel it.

The thunderous dunk propelled Oklahoma City to a 118-110 victory over the struggling Pelicans. New Orleans is 0-3 since acquiring Cousins from the Kings.

The dunk was part of the 41 points Westbrook scored. He added 11 dimes and 11 rebounds to secure another triple-double.

Needless to say, Cousins will be looking to put Sunday night behind him and . . . look forward to his pending suspension, or something.

Jason Kidd would like to see Antetokounmpo make the game a little easier for himself. About half of Antetokounmpo’s shots come at the rim, and the numbers show there’s a pretty good reason for that. He shoots better than 70 percent from within three feet, according to Basketball Reference, a testament to his combination of size and athleticism.

But there’s a physical price to be paid for every foray into the paint, and maybe, at 22, Antetokounmpo can handle that. As his career progresses, though, Kidd knows his young star will need to vary his game, starting by trusting his midrange jumper. Antetokounmpo is not much of a 3-point shooter just yet—he takes 2.3 3-pointers per game, and makes only 28.3 percent—but that can come later. For now, Kidd would like to see Antetokounmpo have more faith in his shot from the elbows, to limit the banging he takes.broncos_068
